Each dress is designed and expertly made in East London so that I know the skilled women I work with are paid fairly. Our lace is sourced from 19th Century mills in Northern France.

ABOUT
Behind every La Poésie design is me, Monika Kashimbaya. I trained as a fashion designer so when you order a dress you get everything I know about making beautiful clothes and making brides happy.
I studied at Studio Berçot in Paris and then worked in design teams for luxury ready-to-wear labels, French fashion has influenced my less-is-more and subtly sexy approach to bridal.
A few year later moved to London and designed high street occasionwear. But the mass market didn’t cater to my love of fine fabrics or ethical manufacture, so in 2013 I started La Poésie in Hackney, East London.
